I have been on a few and can tell you they were life-changing. 

Taking a retreat - especially one that is overnight - can sound daunting, but they are made to be doable and faith-multiplying, so I recommend everyone take one whenever possible. (Should we hold each other accountable to go once a year? I will if you will!).
