The Spirit of St. Agnes Can Be Felt At This Wisconsin Congregation of Sisters

Catholics are very blessed to have an army in heaven, not only praying for us but also serving as role models as we navigate our time on earth.

One of these amazing saints is none other than St. Agnes:

A young Roman martyr whose life and death have inspired Christians for centuries, St. Agnes lived in the 3rd century and is believed to have been around 12 or 13 years old when she was martyred for her faith. According to tradition, she was a beautiful young girl who dedicated her life to Christ, refusing marriage proposals from several prominent suitors.

Her refusal to marry, coupled with her Christian faith, led to her persecution during a time when Christians faced widespread hostility. Agnes endured horrific trials and ultimately gave her life as a witness to her unwavering commitment to God.

In honor of the Feast Day on January 21st, you are invited to tour this spiritual congregation in Wisconsin:

Welcome to the Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes.

Located in Fond du Lax, the Sisters of St. Agnes "strive to minister with simplicity and hospitality in the fields of education, health care, pastoral ministry and social service" throughout both North and Latin America.
